Technical Editor

High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTech) is an infrastructure-centered firm focusing on practice, research, policy, and technology transfer.  HPTech was established in 2003 with the primary purpose of serving the U.S. federal government at their facilities and project sites.  Our uniqueness lies in our ability to integrate physical sciences, social sciences, engineering, planning, and policy when developing and delivering infrastructure solutions.

HPTech is currently looking for a Technical Editor with responsibilities for editing and formatting of a variety of documents, including technical reports, journal papers, magazine articles, technical briefs, brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials.   

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Communication.

  • At least 3 years of related experience.

  • Mastery of the English language, particularly writing skills.

  • Computer skills with a mastery of word processing and spreadsheets.

  • Graphics design skills, with ability to develop simple graphics to illustrate concepts.

  • Experience in developing 508-compliant documents.

  • Excellent team and collaborative skills.
