Highway Engineering Data Analyst
High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTech) is an infrastructure-centered firm focusing on practice, research, policy, and technology transfer. HPTech was established in 2003 with the primary purpose of serving the U.S. federal government at their facilities and project sites. We are seeking a Highway Engineering Data Analyst to develop, analyze, and validate large-scale infrastructure research datasets. This role blends civil engineering knowledge with data analytics and database support, contributing directly to FHWA’s pavement and bridge research initiatives.
Responsibilities

Develop and manage engineering research datasets (LTPP, LTBP, materials testing data).

Support QC/QA processes for infrastructure performance data.

Apply computational statistics and data analysis techniques to engineering datasets.

Collaborate with engineers and database professionals to improve data usability.

Support data integration into FHWA InfoHighway portals.

Contribute to reports, TecBrifs, and other technical documents and engineering and data deliverables.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (master’s preferred).

10+ years of relevant experience with engineering and data analytics.

Experience with relational databases, data analysis, or computational methods.

Ability to bridge engineering judgment with data-driven analysis.
