The research in the laboratory is focused on improving the durability and performance of innovative corrosion-resistant metals and coating systems.

The CCRE shall be capable of reviewing and synthesizing the literature on a variety of topics in the coatings and corrosion of highway infrastructure. Responsibilities shall include, but not limited to, setting up, operating and conducting experiments, and working with instrumentation systems both in the laboratory and at field sites. The responsibilities shall also include numerical modeling to simulate corrosion processes. The candidate must be capable of presenting during demonstration projects, seminars, webinars, scientific meetings, and workshops.
